The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
The Medford Township Police Criminal Investigations Bureau began an investigation concerning a 32-year-old male from Medford after observing that he was pawning numerous pieces of jewelry, gift cards and a laptop. The frequency of the transactions coupled with the items being sold suggested that the items may be stolen.
During this investigation, the man admitted that the majority of the items pawned were stolen from his mother’s residence and that he stole her credit card and made charges in excess of $10,000. He was also found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles.
The male was charged with credit card theft, theft, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail pending his court appearance.
