The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
On Feb. 18 at 10:57 a.m. Medford Police were dispatched to an erratic driver southbound on Hartford Road near Taunton Road. Police observed the vehicle parked at the Wawa on Tuckerton Road and spoke with the driver, a 22-year-old male, and the passenger, a 19-year-old female.
While speaking with them the passenger went to exit the vehicle and a hypodermic needle dropped on the ground. Police searched the vehicle and recovered two blue wax baggies containing suspected heroin in a cigarette pack, two white wax baggies containing suspected heroin in a different cigarette pack, and a clear plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana on the passenger side floor. There was also multiple empty wax baggies and plastic baggies located in the passenger’s purse.
The driver and passenger were arrested. The passenger was charged with possession of heroin and poss. of a hypodermic needle and released. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of heroin. He was released pending a court date.
