Cherry Hill Apartments receive award for green building excellence
The Klein Company’s newly developed Dwell Luxury Apartments has been recognized for green building excellence by the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) at the 20th annual ‘Garden State Awards of Excellence’ event.
The NJAA ‘Garden State Awards of Excellence’ recognizes excellence among leaders in multi-family rental housing — one of the state’s most valuable industries. In total, 165 awards were presented to members or member properties across more than 40 categories, including a new award this year for new construction and retrofit green building, to acknowledge the increased importance of eco-friendly design.
In the category of garden and low rise apartments built after 2010 and featuring more than 200 units, Dwell not only took home top NJAA honors for green building, but also for excellence in property management, excellence in curb appeal, and property website. In addition, The Klein Company was named 2013 Market Rate Management Company of the Year [under 2000 units].
“Dwell Luxury Apartments celebrates the best of eco-conscious living,” said Clay Chandler, Vice President of Development for The Klein Company. “From the outset, it was important for us to shrink our environmental footprint and improve our residents’ rental lifestyle in the process. This honor from the New Jersey Apartment Association is a great testament to the project’s thoughtful, sustainable design, and The Klein Company’s commitment to greening the South Jersey rental landscape.”
