According to the school’s website, administrators at Cherry Hill East were notified of a threatening message written on a wall in one of the restrooms.
Police were notified and are on the scene investigating.
As a precautionary measure, because the investigation is still underway, we are dismissing students approximately 15 minutes early and cancelling after-school and evening activities, the website said.
There is no word from school officials what the threatening message entailed.
According to the district’s public information officer Susan Bastnagel, the district plans to announce what the situation was on the website and send a message to parents as soon as details become available.
