Police: three arrested in prostitution investigation

The following is on record with the Evesham Police Department:

On Dec. 20, the Evesham Police Department arrested three people during an investigation of prostitution at an Evesham Massage Parlor.

The lengthy investigation revealed that patrons of the Hand Healing Massage Parlor, located at 733 E. Rt. 70 Suite 301 and 302, were paying money for sexual favors.

During the search warrant execution the owner and operator, a female employee and a male customer were arrested. Investigators chased down the female as she fled out a rear door of the business. Evidence of prostitution and approximately $7,000 in cash was seized.

The owner and operator, age 52, of unknown location was charged with third-degree promoting prostitution. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $25,000 full cash bail.

A second owner and operator, age 48, of unknown location has been charged with third-degree promoting prostitution. She was not arrested during the search warrant and her location is unknown. A $25,000 arrest warrant has been issued for her arrest.

The male was charged with a disorderly person offense for soliciting a prostitute. He was released on his own recognizance.

The female was charge with a disorderly person’s offense for prostitution and resisting arrest. She was released on her own recognizance.
