From the Superintendent Brian Betze’s announcement
To make up the four days missed due to Hurricane Sandy, the following calendar changes were approved at the Dec. 18 Board of Education meeting:
- Advertisement -
- November 6, 2012 — Regular School Day for staff/students (originally Teacher In-Service Day)
- Feb. 18 (President’s Day) — Regular School Day
- May 28 to 29 — Regular School Days (originally built in Emergency Closing Days)
Staff will attend in-service days on June 21 and June 24.
If additional snow days are used, spring recess will be shortened beginning on April 5, as designated on the approved 2012–2013 School Calendar.
These proposed days fulfill the Board of Education requirement of 182 student days and 185 staff days. The approved calendar changes will also be posted on the MTPS website
