According to the Burlington County newsletter the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Burlington County are offering their Third Annual Garden Tour of approximately three-dozen private and public gardens now through the end of summer.
The gardens are open for free tours on select dates with the purchase of the tour directory available for $5 each. The directory features descriptions and photos of the gardens, as well as the tour schedule, map and directions. Private garden owners will offer personal tours of their gardens; describe the types and varieties of plants featured and the methods used to grow them.
Tour directories are available at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Burlington County office at 2 Academy Drive in the county complex behind the County Library in Westampton. Directories may also be purchased at the Burlington County Community Agricultural Center Farmers’ Market at Hartford and Centerton roads in Moorestown on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at select florists and related shops.
Rutgers Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who educate the public with science-based horticultural information via the Rutgers NJAES Cooperative Extension office. Master Gardener volunteers are available to answer your yard and garden questions free of charge on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in season at 265–5050, or [email protected]
