Liz Thomas, co-founder and CEO of Thomas/Boyd Communications, has been named as a member of the Board of Trustees for Public Media N.J., Inc. (PMNJ), which operates NJTV, the state’s new public television network. PMNJ is an affiliate of WNET New York Public Media and operates NJTV, the state’s network of four public television stations, which provides a statewide 24–7 programming schedule and a week nightly news program, N.J. Today.
Thomas was named as one of three inaugural members of the board, which includes Neal Shapiro, president and CEO of WNET and Josh Weston, former chairman of ADP. New additions to the PMNJ board include Governor Tom Kean; Anthony Bastardi, chairman of the Foundation for New Jersey Public Broadcasting and Chairman and CEO of Strategic Development Group; Thomas Bracken, vice chair of the Foundation for Public Broadcasting and president and CEO of New Jersey Chamber of Commerce; and Dennis Bone, a member of the executive committee for the Foundation for Public Broadcasting and president of Verizon New Jersey.
