In an effort to prepare students of all ages for the start of the upcoming school year, The Drenk Center through its Family Success Center of Burlington County program, is holding a Back-to-School Supplies Drive. Last year, the Family Success Center provided school supplies to more than 250 students. With the help of Roma Bank, Long & Foster Realtors, and Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia, The Family Success Center has a goal of helping more than 300 students this year.
“We are fortunate to have Roma Bank, Long & Foster Realtors, and Goodwill Industries partner with us by serving as drop-off locations for school supplies,” noted Jennifer Rodier, director of Prevention Services. “In these difficult economic times, families are struggling to make ends meet. Hopefully, we can help defray the costs of school supplies and help prepare students to succeed.”
School supplies can be dropped off until Aug. 26 at the Family Success Center, 45 High Street, Mount Holly; all Roma Bank branches; Long & Foster locations at 110 Marter Avenue, Suite 501 in Moorestown, 1415 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill, and 65 North Haddon Avenue in Haddonfield; and two Goodwill locations located at 3111 Route 38, Suite 7, in Mount Laurel and 1626 Route 38 in Lumberton.
Some of the school supplies needed include:
- Backpacks and lunchboxes
- Pencils, pens and erasers
- Crayons, markers, and highlighters
- Pencil cases, rulers and glue sticks
- Two-pocket folders and loose leaf paper
- Spiral bound and composition notebooks
