Police Report: March 1

The following incident was taken from reports on file with The Medford Township Police Department.

On March 1 at 9:32 a.m., Medford Township Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for an inspection violation on a silver, 2003 Mitsubishi that was traveling eastbound on Route 70 towards Jones Road.

Investigation revealed that a passenger in the vehicle had an active warrant out of Camden for a local ordinance offense, a warrant out of Haddon Township for a motor vehicle violation, and an active warrant out of Medford for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger was subsequently taken into custody and search revealed a clear plastic baggie in his left coat pocket. Contained in the baggie were three smaller clear plastic baggies that were heat sealed containing crack cocaine.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a traffic summons for the inspection violation and released.

The passenger was transported to the police headquarters for processing. A warrant was issued for the passenger for possession of CDS. The suspect was subsequently transported to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
