Moorestown rower sees success at recent races

Moorestown Rowing Club member Andrew Hendrickson finished in the top 10 percent of competitors at the World Indoor Rowing Championships (CRASH-B Sprints) held recently in Boston.

To prepare for the upcoming outdoor racing season, Hendrickson competed in the Philadelphia Indoor Rowing Championship (Main Line Slide) on Feb. 5 in Villanova, Pa. where he took first place among junior lightweight men with a time of 6:42.6.

He earned another first place finish at the New Jersey Indoor Rowing Championship (Haddon Hammer) on Feb. 13 in Westmont with a time of 6:42.3.

On Feb. 20, Hendrickson traveled to the campus of Boston University for the annual gathering of indoor rowing enthusiasts. His time of 6:39.6 for the 2,000 meter race was good for thirteenth position among 162 junior lightweight men from around the world.

The Moorestown Rowing Club is a parent founded, financed and managed nonprofit organization providing training and competition in the sport of rowing for students of Moorestown High School.
