The Garden Club of Marlton will hold its next monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14, and residents of Evesham Township and surrounding communities are invited to attend.Â
The program for the November meeting will explore “New Jersey’s Agricultural Heritage” and will be presented by Al Murray, who has spent his entire career advocating on behalf of New Jersey’s agricultural industry. Mr. Murray enjoyed a 33-year career with the N.J. Department of Agriculture and served as the department’s assistant secretary of agriculture. Now retired, he serves as the executive director of the N.J. Agricultural Society, as a consultant to the N.J. Farm Bureau, and on the board of directors of the Easter Produce Council, Mr. Murray will discuss the importance of New Jersey’s agricultural industry throughout our state’s history and will also focus on the N.J. Agricultural Society and its 237-year legacy in supporting this important industry.Â
The November meeting will be held at the Gibson House (behind the Indian Spring Country Club driving range) at 535 E. Main Street in Marlton. Lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. A business meeting covering the club’s programs and activities will be held at noon. The program will begin at 12:45 p.m.Â
