Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A. partner named secretary on the board of trustees for The Center for Family Services

Rebecca Berger has been practicing law for 13 years and represents clients in divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and municipal court matters.

Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A., a boutique South Jersey firm concentrating in divorce and family law, announced partner Rebecca A. Berger has been named secretary on the board of trustees for the Center for Family Services. Berger has been a board member for the past two years for the century-old non-profit organization headquartered in Camden, NJ and founded in 1920.

She is a strong proponent of its commitment to uplifting individuals and families through an innovative continuum of care and supports the empowerment of individuals, families and communities to achieve better lives.

Berger has been practicing law for 13 years and represents clients in divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and municipal court matters. Prior to joining the firm in May 2015, Berger worked as an assistant Burlington County prosecutor for seven years, handling a myriad of criminal cases on behalf of the state of New Jersey.

During her four years in the domestic violence unit of the prosecutor’s office, Berger trained law enforcement officers in the investigation and prevention of domestic violence. She is a member of the state and local bar associations and is co-chair of the Burlington County Bar Association – Family Part Section.

Admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Berger is an associate member of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court and has also been an active volunteer with the Domestic Violence Project and State of New Jersey Mediator and Community Dispute Resolution Committee. In 2016, she was one of 21 Burlington County business and community leaders selected for the prestigious honor of being named.

In recognition of her work, Berger has been named to South Jersey Magazine’s “Awesome Attorneys,” SJ Magazine’s “Top Attorneys” and one of 2016’s Emerging Leaders by the Burlington County Times and the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
