Medford Pride on Main is a nonprofit organization that was created in June 2019 by Justin Gibbs. A dedicated executive committee was established to reach a goal of bringing a Pride event to Medford in May 2020.
Our goals are bringing LGBTQ events and educational forums throughout the year, raising awareness and bringing inclusivity to the community. Our mission is to create awareness, education and support in the LGBTQ community. We will provide events that focus on fun and friendship, while creating a safe space for individuals in every phase of their lives. We will enhance education forums with children, preteens, high school students and post secondary education, which is the key to spreading the feeling of inclusion to all.
The organization has received overwhelming amounts of support from the community and the businesses in Medford and along Main Street. We launched a website that in one week has had 2,000 views. We will continue in our journey and our mission to include every member of our community to feel safe and to be an active educated member of our community.
