Cherry Hill team wins Little League District 13 Tournament

The Cherry Hill American Little League 12-year-old, all-star team beat Haddonfield, 4 to 3, on July 7 to win the District 13 New Jersey Little League Tournament. Cherry Hill American’s win in this deciding game of the three-game championship series was powered by Aiden Ryder’s walk-off hit in the sixth inning. The big hit drove in Quinn Gibson for the winning run. Quinn was the winning pitcher, allowing one run over four innings.

Cherry Hill American won six of its seven games in the tournament. Liam Lyons hit a total of three home runs in the tournament. Ricky Orlandini and Aiden Ryder each hit a homer.

The team now moves onto the sectional tournament in Absecon beginning on July 13, where the winning team will earn a coveted spot in the state tournament.
