The following comes from Gloucester County.
With the success of previous job fairs in helping residents connect with businesses, the Board of Chosen Freeholders, in partnership with the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board, will be presenting the Gloucester County Mega Job Fair and Resource Event on Oct. 12 to continue in helping residents and students find potential employment.
“Our job fairs provide a great opportunity for anyone to come out and speak to a wide variety of business owners looking for new, dedicated employees,” Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Attendees should come dressed for success with a copy of their resumes and should be prepared to interview on site.”
“Taking that first step when job searching can be difficult and many people don’t know where to start,” Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development said. “The mega job fair makes that initial step much easier by providing a wide variety of job types to explore as well as a face-to-face interaction with employers looking to hire.”
The event, which will take place in the Rowan College at Gloucester County Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to noon, is open to everyone and will feature at least 75 different employers with a variety of different job openings.
Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and to be prepared for on the spot interviews with potential employers.
