Public works reminding residents to follow recycling procedures

Press release from Mantua Township Public Works Department.

Please only place the following in your recycling containers: narrow neck bottles, milk jugs, bleach and detergent bottles, shampoo bottles No. 1 and No. 2, newspapers, cardboard (except pizza boxes), glass bottles and jars, aluminum, steel and tin cans.

All recycled material must be rinsed out before disposing. Lids are to not be placed in the recycling.

Refrain from putting the following in the recycling can: plastic bags, electronics, food scrap, needles and medical waste, batteries, ceramics, diapers, porcelain, cookware (pots and pans), coat hangers, appliances, rigid plastics such as kids toys, window glass and mirrors, lawn chairs and tables, laundry baskets, tires and rims, propane and air tanks, light bulbs, styrofoam, gas cans, roof shingles, wood and yard trimmings.
