The following is on file at the Mantua Township Police.
Nov. 1
- Officers took a fraud complaint in which an elderly female was contacted and advised she won a vehicle and cash but needed to pay the sales tax. She paid a total of $10,000 in cash and another $60,000 in checks to unknown subjects.
- Officers took a theft report in which the victim had cash stolen from inside his residence. There was no forced entry, making the victim believe it was someone he knew.
- Officers took a theft complaint in which the victim believes his tenant stole a central air conditioner unit.
- Officers responded to a crash in which a vehicle had struck a deer on Mantua Boulevard.
- Officers responded to a hit and run crash in which a light standard was struck. The vehicle was not located.
Nov. 2
- Ptl. Shields was investigating a hit and run crash and arrested a driver for outstanding warrants after he was located. He was able to post bail.
- Officers assisted the Deptford Police Department with a commercial burglary on Ogden Road.
- Units responded to a wire down in the roadway on Main Street in the area of Tylers Mill Road.
- Officers took a report of theft because his lawn sign for the election was missing.
- Officers responded to the Timbercrest Development for a report of juveniles that had stolen another’s bicycle.
- Officers responded to a neighbor dispute at the Villages of Berkley for one neighbor being too loud.
Nov. 3
- Units responded to a crash on Main Street at Center Street. There were minor injuries reported and one vehicle needed to be towed.
- Units responded to a tree that had fallen on Route 45 that brought wires down into the roadway with it.
- Officers assisted community service volunteers that were out cleaning up Breakneck Road
- Officers were at Wenonah Lake for their Halloween event that was postponed earlier because of the weather.
- Officers responded to a neighbor dispute over noise on Center Street.
- Units responded to a noise complaint where the caller heard construction noise. It turned out to be a milling machine on Route 55.
- Ptl. Scharr conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant. They were turned over to Washington Township Police Department.
Nov. 4
- Ptl. Krieger had conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested the operator for an outstanding warrant.
- Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on Taylor Avenue at the intersection of New York Avenue.
- Officers responded to a disturbance call where the caller was being accused of stealing money.
- Officers took a late report of a crash where the victims reported that someone had struck their porch with a vehicle two days prior.
- Units assisted the New Jersey State Police with a fatal crash on Route 55.
- Units responded to Pinebrook Apartments for a family dispute.
Nov. 5
- Ptl. Bair conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Officers took a missing person report where a juvenile was not in school as they were supposed to be. They were located later in the day and removed from the NCIC database.
- Officers took a crash report in Wenonah on Glassboro Road near Mantua Avenue.
- Officers took a minor crash report on Rosewood Court.
- Units also responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in Wenonah where a vehicle struck a deer.
- Units responded to a two-vehicle crash on Glassboro Road at Tylers Mill Road.
Nov. 6
- Officers assisted West Deptford Police Department with attempting to locate a missing juvenile.
- Units responded to a single-vehicle crash on Center Street that had slid off the road at the garden center.
- Units responded to a crash on Route 45 in the area of Hillside Terrace.
- Officers responded to a crash in Wenonah in the area of Mantua Ave and Jefferson Avenue.
- Ptl. Mroz and his K-9 partner, Zuke, assisted Deptford Police Department on a car stop that needed a drug sniff of a vehicle.
- Officers took a crash report on Mantua Boulevard near the Masonic Temple.
- Officers took a theft report where a homeowner observed on his surveillance system that someone had stolen a decorative light from his driveway.
- Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of the old Sony plant.
- Units responded to a dispute in Buckingham Village where an employee was at his employer’s house demanding his last paycheck.
- Units responded to a single-vehicle crash where a car struck a utility pole and needed to be towed.
- Officers also responded to a single-vehicle crash on Glassboro Road where a vehicle slid into the concrete barrier coming off Route 55.
Nov. 7
- Lt. Ferry responded to a subject that had stopped his vehicle, blocking traffic. He was arrested for possession of drugs and related charges.
- Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street.
- Officers took a report for a stolen license plate.
- Officers responded to the Walgreens store for a minor crash in which a vehicle backed into a pole.
- Officers responded to a crash on Route 45 in the Centre City section in which a vehicle struck a deer.
- Officers responded to another crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street.
- Units responded to a family disturbance between a father and his son.
- Ptl. Sheilds and other units responded to a crash on Heritage Road and Route 45 and arrested a driver for DUI.
- Officers responded to a crash in which a vehicle struck a deer and the deer was still stuck under the vehicle.
Nov. 8
- Officers responded to an overdose in which a 23-year-old male unresponsive due to heroin.
- Officers responded to a neighbor dispute over littering.
