Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by NJ American Water that crews will be paving the intersection of Cooper Landing Road and Valley Run Drive in Cherry Hill on Thursday, April 18. The project will require lane shifts and the closure of parts of the road throughout the day.
“Road closures can affect traffic patterns and travel times throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important for motorists to be aware of how this may affect their commute,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should be alert for shifting traffic patterns, congestion, and sudden stops when in the construction area. Make sure to leave extra time when commuting and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards when driving near crews and equipment.”
On Thursday, April 18, crews will begin work paving the roadway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this time, there will be lanes shifts on Cooper Landing Road at the intersection of Cooper Landing and Valley Run Drive.
During eastbound paving, access to Valley Run Drive from the intersection will be closed. During westbound paving, that roadway will re-open and the entrance to Jefferson Hospital, opposite the roadway, will close.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of work on Thursday. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
