Sanders Home Center grand opening

I am excited to announce the grand opening of Sanders Home Center in Turnersville. Sanders Home Center is located at 201 NJ-168, Turnersville. Their grand opening took place on Thursday, Aug. 10. I was honored to be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony for this wonderful new business. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner Peter Sanders about choosing this location and his vision for the company. He is certainly taking home design to the next level. The Sanders family has been in business since 1981, and has many locations throughout New Jersey. This location is special as it has a full working showroom with sinks and tubs with running water, large screen TVs for virtual design and experienced and knowledgeable staff. I wish them many years of success in Washington Township.

Shop Washington Township Program

My Administration is working diligently to get this program up and running within the next few months. Shop Washington Township benefits the businesses in town, as well as the residents, with little or no cost to the township. This program gives residents the opportunity to receive credits against their property tax bill by shopping at local participating businesses. Participating merchants will enjoy higher business awareness, higher sales volume and significant community support. Washington Township is committed to being a business-friendly town, and my administration is driving this commitment forward with innovative thinking to achieve our goals. This first-of-its-kind program in Washington Township is designed to provide an economic boost to our local businesses and give our taxpayers a break on their property tax bill at the same time. It is our intention to hold a town hall meeting by the end of September for business owners to attend and learn more about this wonderful program.

Our goal is to have the Shop Washington Township swipe cards sent out to each household by mid-November. We anticipate great success with this program as we have received positive feedback from other towns. We look forward to implementing this program to help the taxpayers of Washington Township, as well local businesses. If you would like to learn more about this program, you may contact my Confidential Aide Alicia Rotella at [email protected].
