Letter to the editor: ‘This fall replace them all’

Writer explains state tax on gasoline

Every time you fill up at the pump, you pay an average $6 in state tax; an increase of approximately $3.50 since last fall when the lawmakers in Trenton voted for the 135 percent increase in gasoline tax.

To put this cost in prospective, members of the Washington Township senior center pay $3 for a full meal. Every time you see a car at the pump, should serve as a reminder that these politicians are taking away an additional meal away from our seniors. If this doesn’t get you out to vote, I don’t know what will.

On Election Day, let your parents and grandparents know that you love them more than you love the politicians and vote accordingly. This fall replace them all.
