The concert will showcase the talents of students in fifth through 12th grade
The Washington Township public schools will be striking up the band- more accurately, all bands from throughout the schools -when the district showcases the musicianship of elementary, middle and high school band students during a free concert on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center at Washington Township High School.
Fifth-grade band students from all six of the district’s elementary schools will perform together, as will all sixth-grade students from the three middle schools. Seventh and eighth-grade band students from the three middle schools also will perform as one group. The high school portion of the concert will include performances by the high school symphonic, the jazz band and the wind ensemble. All students from grades fifth through 12th grade will then convene on one stage for a performance of “America the Beautiful” as the grand finale.
