Washington Township dentist arrested on invasion of privacy charges

A walk-in complaint led to theĀ arrest

The following is on file with the Washington Township Police Department:

On Sept. 19 at 4:30 p.m. Washington Township Police Department officers were notified of a walk-in complaint at the police administration building. A female employee of a local dentist office reported that she discovered a camera hidden in an employee bathroom.

The victim, who was accompanied by numerous other female employees, stated while inside the restroom, she observed theĀ camera.

As a result of the information obtained from the victim, as well as other evidence collected, Robert Hofstetter, 69, whose family dentistry office is located on Ganttown Road in Sewell, was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy. He was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
