Gov. Chris Christie declares state of emergency, Washington Township schools close for Tuesday, March 14.
Due to snow storm Stella, Washington Township public schools are closed Tuesday, March 14. This includes all after-school and evening activities.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Washington Township from 8 p.m. on Monday evening through 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Accumulation of 8 to 12 inches is expected from the storm. Wind gusts could reach up to 35 miles per hour.
Governor Chris Christie also made the announcement that all state buildings will be closed on Tuesday due to the impending storm for non-essential employees.
The Washington Township Municipal Building will be opening at 10 a.m. and closing at 3:30 p.m. due to the inclement weather.
The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library is closed.
The Margaret E. Heggan Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for March 23.
Wedgwood PTO Restaurant Night at Slice has been cancelled due to anticipated inclement weather.
Trash & recycling pick-up will be delayed one day.
