WTHS SAVE club tours community garden

Students toured rows of vegetables grown for donation to the local food bank, Mother’s Cupboard

Members of the Washington Township SAVE club posed for a photo while touring the Community Garden.

Members of the Washington Township High School Students Against Violation of the Earth club and advisor Donna Pancari recently toured Washington Township’s Community Garden at Washington Lake Park.

WTHS alumnus and former SAVE member Andrew Gerber helped create the garden last year and gave the students a tour of the 18 community plots and rows of vegetables grown for donation to the local food bank, Mother’s Cupboard. Following the tour, the group enjoyed some locally grown strawberries at Duffield’s Farm Market.
