Make sure to enjoy life after high school
Congratulation!
So here you are, a high school graduate. Excited but a little unsure and although college isn’t for everyone, neither is a lifetime of menial labor.
Whether you’re going to Princeton or Penn, Rutgers or Rowan, higher education provides unimaginable opportunities. Your parents have worked hard and saved long to give you this opportunity for a better life that they might never have had, but there really is no better life than a parent’s selfless sacrifice for their child’s future.
For the next four years you’ll be tested many times but the most difficult test you’ll have to take isn’t one of essays or multiple choice but a test of will.
Believe in yourself and be true to your dreams, not your parent’s expectations. As you listen to the commencement speaker’s inspiring words, there are many serious things to consider, but for now, the only things to consider are who’s having the parties, who’s parties are you going to, who’ll be there and what kind of fun might develop. Even though you’ve never looked more scholarly, you can’t wait to see how high you can throw that silly flat hat.
Savor your very special day.
