Cinnaminson police officer recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving

Officer Garrett McLaverty received the Top Cop of Burlington County Award.

Cinnaminson Township Police Department officer Garrett McLaverty was recognized today by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his dedication in enforcing impaired and intoxicated driving motor vehicle laws. At a ceremony at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, he received the Top Cop of Burlington County Award and another award for having the most DUI arrests in the Cinnaminson Police Department.

McLaverty is to be commended for his dedication to making our roads safer, the department said. McLaverty also recently completed an extensive training program earning his certification as a Drug Recognition Expert. This training will aid in his abilities to identify and arrest drivers under the influence of liquor or drugs.

The Cinnaminson Police reminds those travelling the roadways to never drink and drive. If you drive, don’t drink. If you drink, don’t drive.
