The event sheds light on the drug abuse epidemic.
On Wednesday, May 23, the Voorhees Township Police Department and Voorhees Middle School will host the third annual Michael DeLeon’s Steered Straight Parent Academy at VMS, starting at 7 p.m.
Attendees will gain an understanding of this drug abuse epidemic and better knowledge as to how we got to this point, learn about the latest drug trends that your children are dealing with, learn about the signs and symptoms to watch for, be better equipped to speak with your children, be given tips and advice as to how to better prevent drug and alcohol use from affecting your children.
Adolescent and teenage students are welcome.
All community members are encouraged and welcomed to join, as this is not limited to Voorhees residents.
