Don’t miss Oliver! this weekend in Voorhees
“Consider yourself” invited to see Voorhees Middle School Drama Club’s production of Oliver! on Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the VMS Theater, 1000 Holly Oak Drive in Voorhees.
Oliver!, based on the book Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, is a beloved show with music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart, licensed by arrangement with Oliver Productions, Ltd. and Oliver Promotions, Ltd. Oliver! tells the tale of an orphaned boy who struggles to survive the mean streets of nineteenth century London.
Oliver’s musical journey as he joins a band of pickpockets includes such classics as “Consider Yourself,” “I’d Do Anything,” and “Where is Love?” This is a show your entire family will love, so join us for one of our four performances.
Show time is 7 p.m. sharp on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17, with a family matinee on March 17 at 1 p.m. On Sunday, March 18, show time is 3 p.m. Tickets are $10. All seats are reserved.
Senior citizens are invited to watch this production free of charge on Sunday afternoon, March 18, courtesy of the PRIDE of the VTEA. This popular show is sure to be a sell-out, so please reserve your seats early.

The Voorhees Middle School Drama Club is comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. In 2009, the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission named the Voorhees program as its pick for “Best of Camden County” for its production of “Into the Woods.” This year’s production of Oliver! continues the tradition of excellence in theater.
