Veterans’ Welcome Home Parade in Camden County

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Parade route starts at the Black Horse Pike and 8th Avenue in Gloucester Township. It makes a right onto Evesham Road, and concludes at the Triton High School Vietnam War Memorial.

Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell and Freeholder Michelle Gentek will attend a homecoming parade for soldiers returning from foreign conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The event is sponsored by the Gloucester Township, Bellmawr and Runnemede VFW posts.

“This parade will honor the Camden County residents that have served our country with extraordinary honor and conviction,” said McDonnell, liaison to the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs. “We must never forget their tireless dedication and selfless contributions to our grateful nation.”

“They are all truly American heroes and we are proud to have them represent Camden County,” Gentek said. “They serve as an example to us all, and we are happy to have them home.”

The Freeholder Board is asking for the general public to join them in honoring the men and women in uniform that have gone overseas. These members of the U.S. Military defend are nation’s ethos and are owed a debt gratitude for their conviction and sacrifice.
