For those looking for something to do on Sunday, June 14, Ashland Church is the place to be, as it will hosting a community picnic from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 33 East Evesham Road in Voorhees.
The event will feature Games 2U, 1- 4 p.m. with on-site entertainment such as
- Giant Hamster Balls, a unique and exciting way to experience the thrill of 360 degree fun. Whether standing up or sitting down, the public can have a blast rolling around on just about any surface. For even more fun, add a second hamster ball to create competitions. Big enough (and safe enough) for both kids and adults.
- The Foam Machine Party is a wet and wild way to flop around in foam with friends. The inflatable pit creates a giant sudsy sensation. It’s good, clean fun for kids and grown-ups of all ages, and the foam is biodegradable as well.
- The state of the art Mobile Game Theater is the star of every party and guaranteed to amaze. Imagine playing the hottest video games like Guitar Hero and Madden Football on huge plasma screens in a climate controlled gaming utopia. Now picture all of that plus multi-player game play and surround sound audio.
Other features of the day include volleyball, Giant slip n slides, and an Art sale where proceeds will be donated to Ashland’s Eagles Wings mission. There is something fun for everyone.
A live radio show and band will also entertain the crowd with continuous music by various artists.
Also, what is a picnic without food, so come and enjoy the picnic with burgers, hot dogs, baked goods, ice cream, water ice and more prepared by the Ashland Church Congregation.
There is no charge for the event; however, a monetary donation or non-perishable food item for the Park Avenue Food Pantry is much appreciated. Bring family, bring friends and don’t forget to bring a beach chair, blanket and bathing suit for the kids.
