The Camden County Library will offer a series of programs presented by local singer, songwriter and teacher Sara O’Brien during September and October. Community Rocks, a nonprofit organization established to educate, strengthen and connect communities through the arts, will visit each branch and present workshops based on three different themes.
O’Brien will visit the Voorhees Branch Library on Saturday, Oct. 24, 10:30 a.m. for a “Rhythms, Rhymes and Exercise” program for ages five and up.
To achieve academic and personal success, kids must be healthy. Kids will dance to the rhythms and sing to the rhymes as they exercise their way to healthier, happier lives.
This workshop incorporates cardio exercise, yoga and nutrition information to empower children to make healthy choices. This is offered at four branches:
All the workshops are free but registration is required. Call the local branch or register online at www.camdencountylibrary.org/events.
