Kennedy Health donates wheelchairs to Camden County veterans

Kennedy Health System, with administrative offices in Voorhees, recently presented 22 wheelchairs to Camden County Veterans during a corporate managers and senior leaders team-building event. Kennedy Health President & CEO Joseph W. Devine, on behalf of Kennedy leadership team, formally made the donation.

“I commend Kennedy Health for their commitment to our nation’s bravest, and for setting one of the objectives of their event to serve our veterans,” said Freeholder Michelle Gentek-Mayer. “These new tools will be an asset to our county’s veterans who are injured or battling sickness. The office of veteran affairs goes above and beyond for our local military members and this will be one more resource we can now provide to them.”

Marine Veteran Edward Shayka was the first individual recipient of a wheelchair during an event at Kennedy’s Voorhees offices on Oct. 30.

The wheelchairs are being made available to be loaned out to veterans through the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs at 1–800–464-VETS
