Virtua has announced that David A. Kindlick of Ocean City, N.J., will serve as the new Chairman of Virtua’s Board of Trustees.

Dedicated to community service, Kindlick has been a board member for nine years. He served as Treasurer on the Virtua Board of Trustees for six years and was Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee and the Compensation Committee. As a trustee, he also served on the Virtua Board Executive Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Audit Committee.

“We are pleased that Mr. Kindlick is the new leader of the Board of Trustees, bringing with him his years of knowledge and experience,” said Dennis Flanagan, most recent past-Chairman of the Virtua Board of Trustees. “Our compassionate community leaders and highly experienced healthcare professionals share a passion for providing the best care in South Jersey, and Mr. Kindlick will continue to embrace these values of the Board of Trustees and Virtua as a whole.”

Kindlick is the retired Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of South Jersey Industries, a publicly held energy services holding company for a natural gas utility and other, non-regulated energy companies, where he was responsible for all corporate financial matters. In addition to this leadership role, Kindlick was also the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for South Jersey Gas, one of the fastest growing natural gas utilities in the country.

Kindlick earned his undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University. He served as a member of the Finance Committee for the American Gas Association and was on the Rates and Regulatory Committee of the New Jersey Utilities Association, where he was a former Chairman. Additionally, he served on the Executive Advisory Council for Rutgers University’s School of Business in Camden.
