Seneca High School freshman, Matt Miller, auditioned for the NJ All-State Jazz Band at Rahway High School on May 7. Matt received the position of First Tenor Sax.

Matt will perform with the All-State Band in Atlantic City and Newark next fall. On making the NJ All-State Jazz Band, Matt stated, “It was very rewarding to have earned a spot in the All-State Jazz Band. Lots of practice and preparation went into my audition, and it definitely paid off. I was surprised when I found out that I made the band, though. There were so many talented musicians in that room.” Matt added, “I’m really looking forward to playing tenor in a jazz band. I haven’t played tenor in a jazz band in a while.”
