Tabernacle Election Information

The 2016 race for Tabernacle Township Committee has begun.

Four Republican candidates have filed to run for their party’s nomination for the two seats up for election on the Tabernacle Township Committee in the upcoming primary election on June 7, while no Democratic candidates filed to run.

According to the Tabernacle Township clerk’s office, incumbent committee members Joseph Yates and Stephen Lee will run against Tina Marie Coolidge and Jason Litowitz for the Republican Party nomination.

Those who win the primary election will then run uncontested in the general election in November, unless an independent candidate files to run by the June 7 deadline.

Primary elections in New Jersey will take place on Tuesday, June 7. Voters must be a registered party member to vote in a party’s primary election. Voters who are voting in a primary election for the first time are permitted to declare their party affiliation at the polls.
