Parents of children entering kindergarten in September can register their children Feb. 21–24
Kindergarten registration for Shamong children entering kindergarten in September 2017 is Feb. 21 through 24. Parents are requested to complete the registration packet at the school during this week to assist school officials in organizing classes for September.
To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2017. It is not necessary for parents to bring their children to the registration. However, you will need to bring the following items to register: original birth certificate with raised state seal; medical records, particularly immunization records; four proofs of residency (one proof must be one of the following items: deed, contract of sale, lease, mortgage, signed letters from landlord, and/or any other evidence of property ownership, tenancy or residency).
