Event will be held March 23 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Shamong EMS will hold a community CPR event Wednesday, March 23, from 7 to 10 p.m. This program will cover adult, child & pediatric CPR including AED use, rescue breathing and what to do when someone is choking.
This course is being offered free of charge to learn the skills needed in a cardiac or choking emergency, though donations are appreciated. If you want to obtain a course completion card along with the skill training, there will be a charge. The EMS has to pay the American Heart Association for the cards.
If some groups or organizations want to set up a class, let the EMS squad know and they can set groups with as little as five or six people. To maintain a good student to instructor ratio space is limited.
