Game to take place April 23 at 2 p.m.
The Lady Barons are inviting all former women’s soccer players to join them on Sunday, April 23 for the first Alumni Game. The game will begin at 2 p.m. and is free to play in. Players who make a donation of $15 will receive a Barons Alumni Game t-shirt.
“Athletics is so important to our college and prepares students for future success in the workforce,” RCBC President Paul Drayton said. “We’re excited to welcome back our alumni to see how they have succeeded and share with them the recent achievements of Rowan College at Burlington County and the exciting future of their alma mater.”
Many Lady Barons are excited about the game including Kaitlyn Atmore, class of 2012, from Southampton, “I am really looking forward to seeing my former teammates and playing on the Pemberton field together one last time.”
Many alumni families have attended and played sports at RCBC. Over the past seven years the Lady Barons have had three sets of sisters play and will have another one next year. A couple of the Barons parents played sports in the past at RCBC as well.
“Our teams form strong bonds that can be passed through generations,” Head Soccer Coach Kathleen DeLitta said. “It’s going to be like a family reunion and it’s going to be great to see some of our former players, some of whom plan to travel great distances to be part of the first ever RCBC Women’s Soccer Alumni game.”
