Township hosts inaugural Holiday Lights Competition
Shamong’s inaugural Holiday Lights Competition will make the season even brighter this year.
Awards will be given for the following categories: most elegant, most creative and best overall.
Here’s what you need to know: Sign up your home or business in the contest by Nov. 17. Decorate by Dec. 9. Judging will take place between Dec. 9 and 15.
Winners will be announced at the Dingletown Recreational Complex, Forked Neck Road, Shamong, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served along with a surprise visit from Santa.
A map of all participating houses will be available through the township in early December.
