In the spirit of giving, Ryan Vaux, counselor at Indian Mills Memorial School, led a month long drive to collect food for the local Medford Food Bank.
Employing his small army of peer helpers (a dedicated group of eighth grade students who volunteer their time to help students in the lower grades), daily calls were made to each homeroom for donations.
The response was overwhelming!
The final tally was enough food to fill a pick-up truck: 28 boxes in all.
Thanks to the hard work and diligence of these students, a lot of families in need had one less thing to worry about this Christmas.
