‘Emotional Balance’ discussion will be taking place on Sept. 13

The discussion has been organized by William Dorman.

The Adult Discussion Group was founded in 2010 in Hunterdon County with friends who wanted a safe, open and respectful space to have group discussions that explore an understanding about us, our relationships with others and the world around us. Co-Founder William Dorman moved to Medford recently and is organizing the discussion series locally. The framework for topics is built around the Eight Dimensions of Wellness: emotional, social, financial, spiritual, intellectual, occupational, physical and environmental. The group chooses topics that are most relevant to them.

The first discussion will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the conference room at the Pinelands Library located at 39 Allen Street in Medford. After a brief overview of the history and future plans, Bill Dorman, CMC Emeritus, will lead a discussion on one of the most important challenges we all face in this fast-paced world: “Emotional Balance.” If you enjoy hearing other perspectives and sharing your own, then the Adult Discussion Group is for you. Previous attendees like Jim T. an engineer wrote, “We are not alone. Sharing with others is educational and fun.” Maryanne C. a choral director added, “The group gave me the opportunity to meet with like-minded people, without judgment, to discuss what matters in our life.” Mila M. CEO, International Market Research Firm said, “Hearing from others helped me find out more about myself and I gained new friends.”

There are no fees though registration is requested. Please register early, as space is limited. Email [email protected] or text/call 908.391.6579. Reference the meeting, leave your contact information and/or ask questions. You may also register through the library: www.bcls.lib.nj.us/pinelands.
