A new date has been announced if you missed your chance because of the weather.
Palmyra’s town wide yard sale was originally scheduled for Sept. 8, but as you may recall the weather didn’t lend itself to outdoor activities and the downpour continued through the rain date the next day. The event was cancelled pending a new date.
The Palmyra Council decided the new date for the event would be Oct. 6 at a recent meeting. As before the rain date will be the following day Oct. 7.
The borough will prepare treasure maps indicating the addresses of those residents who register by Tuesday, Oct. 2nd. Treasure maps will be available online on Friday, Oct. 5th and at Palmyra Borough Hall early on the morning of the yard sale.
The event is free and no yard sale permit is required for participating residents. Unsold items can be taken to public works which will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the day of the event.
