Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office to hold public forum on police shootings

The June 1 event will cover how officer-involved shooting are investigated

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office will hold a public forum on June 1 in Westampton to discuss the process by which officer-involved shootings are investigated, as determined by the Attorney General’s directive governing this matter.

The use of non-lethal force options will also be discussed, and a trained officer will demonstrate the use of a Taser. The format of the forum is designed to encourage dialogue throughout the program.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center, located at 53 Academy Drive in Westampton. Light refreshments will be available during registration, which begins at 8:30 a.m.
