Gloucester County took their dogs to work to raise funds for Animal Shelter

Press release issued by Gloucester County

Gloucester County employees participated in National Take Your Dog To Work Day on Friday, June 22. In exchange for the opportunity to take their dogs to work, employees were encouraged to make a donation to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. Donations are still comingĀ in.

The Gloucester County Animal Shelter (GCAS) uses donation funds for anything from shelter pets that need emergency medical attention, items on the wish list and donation funds even helped build the countyā€™s Spay and NeuterĀ Clinic.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, ā€œThe countyā€™s employees really got into the spirit of the day, with dogs reporting from many county departments.ā€

Freeholder Dan Christy, Liaison to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, said, ā€œEveryone had a lot of fun and the energy in the workplaces were great. We celebrated National Take Your Dog to Work Day and our employees enjoyed their pets during working hours and we brought some additional awareness to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter.ā€
