The school’s A1 and A2 teams recently captured three trophies at the 11th annual NorJac tournament held at Leonia High School in Leonia.
Lenape High School’s Knowledge Bowl A1 and A2 teams recently captured three trophies at the 11th annual NorJac tournament held at Leonia High School in Leonia.
Competing against 51 other teams, Lenape’s A1 team, led by Tyler Hogan, won the Southern Regional Championship and the Sweet 16 Trophy.
The A2 team, led by Jake Freedman, won a Silver Standard trophy for acquiring more than 1750 points during the tournament.
The one-day tournament is in “Jeopardy!” format, and the categories include arts and entertainment, math, history and geography, potpourri, literature and language and sports.
Knowledge Bowl advisor Mary Ann Stecher commented on the students’ accomplishments with the following.
“Our teams played in a highly competitive, well-run tournament at Leonia High School,” Stecher said. “All three teams represented Lenape well. They are looking forward to their second semester of competitions.”
