Mt. Laurel Police Department reports robbery, aggravated assault and more in recent blotter

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On April 10 at 3:32 p.m., patrols responded to the Target on Centerton Road for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Loss Prevention employees reported that 20-year-old female from Bordentown was observed concealing store merchandise in her purse and exited the store without paying for the items. She was arrested and charged on a summons with shoplifting. She was released pending a future court date.

On April 9 at 9:25 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of the New Jersey Turnpike. During the investigation, it was determined that the 30-year-old female driver from Philadelphia was in possession of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. She was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and multiple motor vehicle violations. She was released pending a future court date.

On April 9 at 11:02 a.m., patrols responded to the area of 10 Hartford Road for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Patrols located the vehicle and spoke with the 32-year-old female driver from Moorestown who was determined to be under the influence. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to a family member pending a future court date.

On April 8 at 2:28 p.m., patrols responded to the ShopRite on Ark Road for the report of an unresponsive male in the bathroom. Patrols located a 27-year-old male from Mt Laurel in the bathroom with drug paraphernalia in his hand and empty heroin drug bags in the area. Patrols administered Narcan and the male regained consciousness. He was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

On April 8 at 12:59 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 in the area of Larchmont Boulevard. During the investigation, it was determined that the 40-year-old female driver from Moorestown was intoxicated. She was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to a friend pending a future court date.

On April 8 at 12:35 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 in the area of I-295. During the investigation, it was determined that the 32-year-old male driver from Westampton was intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. He was released to a family member pending a future court date.

On April 7 at 8:57 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of Fellowship Road. During the investigation, it was determined that the 24-year-old male driver from Willingboro was in possession of marijuana. He was subsequently arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. He was released pending a future court date.

On April 7 at 7:51 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Marne Highway. During the investigation it was determined that the 36-year-old female driver from Hainesport had a warrant for her arrest. She also had marijuana in her possession. She was arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. She was released on her warrant pending a future court date.

On April 7 at 2:09 a.m., patrols responded to the area of Larchmont Boulevard and Hastings Way for the report of two males that assaulted another male with a skateboard. The victim who had obvious sign of injury stated that he was walking on Larchmont Boulevard towards his fiancés residence, when he noticed two males following him. The males approached the victim and demanded money. After refusing to give them money several times, he was struck in the face with a fist then the skateboard. After striking the victim several times the males fled the scene towards Willow Turn. Patrols actively checked the area and located the males on Willow Turn where they were detained. Both males were positively identified by the victim and subsequently arrested. Both 18-year-old males from Mt. Laurel were charged with robbery and aggravated assault. They were committed to the Burlington County Jail pending a future court date.

On April 7 at 2:08 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Marne Highway in the area of Ark Road. During the investigation, it was determined that the 54-year-old female driver from Mt. Laurel was intoxicated. She was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to a family member pending a future court date.

On April 6 at 5:29 p.m., patrols responded to Lifetime Fitness at 3939 Church Road for the report of a theft out of a locker. The victim reports that she placed her personal belongings in a locker at 2:56 p.m.. She returned to her locker at 4:45 p.m. and observed it to be open and her items missing. No suspects at this time. Investigation ongoing.

On April 6 at 3:30 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 500 block of Hartford Road for a fraud complaint. The elderly victim reported that she was contacted by a male who claimed to work for the IRS. The victim was convinced to send a large amount of money to pay a “Tax” on her $5 million dollar inheritance that she was going to receive from West Africa. The victim wired the money and did not receive the benefit.

On April 6 at 2:55 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road in the area of Heather Drive. During the investigation, it was determined that the 34-year-old female from Philadelphia was in possession of marijuana. She was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. She was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On April 5 at 10:51 p.m., patrols responded to a business on the 1200 block of Route 73 for an activated burglar alarm. When patrols arrived they observed the front door window to be smashed and partially ajar. The interior checked negative for suspects. Investigation ongoing.

On April 5 at 9:35 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Masonville Road in the area of Marne Highway. During the investigation, it was determined that the 19-year-old male driver from Lindenwold was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On April 5 at 3:03 p.m., patrols responded to Planet Fitness on Route 38 for the report of a stolen cell phone. The victim reported that an unknown suspect stole his cell phone while he was working out at the gym. Staff were able to check their video surveillance and identify the 21-year-old male from Mt Laurel. The male was contacted and admitted to stealing the phone. The phone was returned to the gym and its owner.

On April 5, 2018 at 2:21 p.m., patrols responded to CoCo Keys on RT73 for the report of a theft. The victim reported that on April 3, 2018, between 10:07 am and 12:37 pm, an unknown suspect stole her Movado watch from the locker room area of CoCo Keys. No suspects at this time.

On April 5 at 10:52 a.m., patrols responded to the Home Depot on Nixon Drive for the report of a shoplifter. Patrols located a 50-year-old male from Philadelphia in the parking lot who provided a false name. The male was arrested and charged with shoplifting and hindering apprehension. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On April 4 at 6:27 p.m., patrols responded to a motel on the 1100 block of Route 73 for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that on April 2, a female that he just met and unable to identify, stole his white Buick sedan from the motel parking lot. On April 3, Monroe Township Police advised that the vehicle driven by a 40-year-old female driver from Laurel Springs, was involved in a crash in their town. Investigation ongoing.

On April 4 at 10:21 a.m., patrols responded to the 800 block of Braddock Terrace for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant reported that between 6:30 p.m. on April 3 and 9:30 a.m. on April 4 an unidentified suspect stole her husband’s wallet out of his unlocked vehicle while parked in their driveway. The wallet contained money and various credit cards. No suspects at this time.

On April 3 at 8:30 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 300 block of Laurel Lane for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) stole his 2017 Mercedes SL450 from his driveway. Neighborhood video surveillance showed a white Range Rover with multiple individuals entering vehicles in the neighborhood. No suspects at this time.

On April 3 at 3:30 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Pheasant Drive for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim/resident reported that her video surveillance showed what she believed to be three males enter her Mercedes and GMC Yukon while parked in the driveway unlocked. The suspect was able to start the vehicle using a key fob that was left in the center console. There was $20 stolen from the vehicle. No suspects at this time.
