Officials say the show features original student designs, including wraps for cancer patients.
Rowan College at Burlington County fashion design students will showcase their talent and original creations on the runway in the 2018 Fashion Show on Friday, May 11, at 6 p.m. at RCBC’s Mt. Laurel Campus’ Votta Hall Auditorium.
This year’s fashion show also includes a special collaboration between RCBC fashion students and Hug Wraps, a nonprofit that makes hospital gown alternatives for cancer patients.
Students spent the last academic year creating their collections that are featured in the fashion show.
This year, 25 students designed two to six-piece collections, in addition to the Hug Wraps that will benefit women going through chemotherapy treatments.
Awards will be presented for most creative collection, excellence in garment construction, ready for retail, best Hug Wrap and more.
The event starts at 6 p.m. with pre-runway show refreshments and hors d’oeuvres created by RCBC’s culinary arts students. The runway show starts at 7 p.m.
This event is free and open to the community. Attendees are encouraged to consider making a small donation to “vote” for their favorite Hug Wraps. Those attending should RSVP at rcbc.edu/fashion.
