Police from throughout Burlington County honor officers killed in the line of duty

Members of law enforcement agencies in Burlington County gathered May 15 for the annual Fallen Officers Memorial Service, which was held in Westampton. The ceremony honored the 15 county officers who have died in the line of duty.

Members of the Burlington County law enforcement community gathered May 15 to honor the 15 county police officers who have died in the line of duty. The annual Fallen Officers Memorial Service took place at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center in Westampton. It was held to coincide with Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

Lenape Regional High School District holds Ninth Annual Armed Services Ceremony

Lenape Regional High School District officials continued the annual tradition of honoring senior students entering the military, military academies or college ROTC programs upon graduation. The May 15 ceremony marked the Ninth Annual Armed Services Awards Ceremony, in which staff, family, friends and active service members and veterans came together to wish the students well and to provide them with advice in their future endeavors.

Mt. Laurel Police seek information on alleged robbery and mace attack at Party City on May 9

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On May 9 at 7:47 p.m., patrols from the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department responded to Party City at 1180 Nixon Drive for a report of an alleged robbery. According to police, an investigation revealed that an employee of the store confronted four females who were allegedly observed filling large shopping bags with merchandise and leaving the store. When the employee approached the females, police one of the females allegedly “maced” her in the face, resulting in an injury.

Mt. Laurel Police Department reports golf cart pushed into pool at Larchmont Swim Club last week

The following report is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On May 13 at 11:35 a.m., patrols from the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department responded to the Larchmont Swim Club for a vandalism report. According to police, the complainant reported that on May 12, he observed approximately eight teenagers running from the swim club. Police say when the complainant went to check on the property, he found that a golf cart had been pushed into the pool, damaging both the golf cart and the pool. According to police, the investigation into this incident is still ongoing.

Lenape High School’s athletic director named Olympic Conference Athletic Director of the Year

Officials from the Lenape Regional High School District are offering congratulations to Lenape High School Athletic Director Brian Laddey, who has been named Olympic Conference Athletic Director of the Year. The award was presented by the athletic directors of the Olympic Conference. Laddey has served as an Assistant Principal and as Lenape High School’s Athletic Director since February 2017.
