The Lenape Athletic Foundation, a non-profit group working to raise money to enhance the experience of every Lenape High School student-athlete, will be hosting their first ever gala on Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m., at the Enterprise Center at BCC, in Mount Laurel.
The “Night of Comedy” will be headlined by legendary comedian, Big Daddy Graham, and includes dinner, raffles and a DJ. The LAF is also holding a raffle for a new 2012 Ford Mustang with the winner to be pulled that evening.
Tickets for the event and car raffle are on sale now. Event tickets are $50 per person. Raffle tickets for the Mustang are $20 each. For information on how to purchase tickets for the Gala or the car raffle, contact [email protected].
“The LAF is very excited to have Big Daddy Graham for our first gala,” said Tim Walsh, athletic and activities director at Lenape High School, “We’re looking forward to a great evening of fun amongst the Lenape community.”
Formed at the beginning of the 2010–11 school year, the goal of the LAF is to work with the Lenape High School athletic teams and sanctioned booster clubs to raise additional funds to support elements of the athletic programs that are not traditionally within the annual district budgets, such as team trips, spirit packages, end-of-season banquets, to name a few.
“The willingness and commitment of everyone involved since the beginning of the school year has been incredible,” said Walsh. “We look forward to a great event on June third and to the growth of the LAF in the years to come.”
